New bargains!
Second off is Catherine's Sleepy EP and Hot Saki & Bedtime Stories cd's. As Catherine is not at all a common rockband in Sweden, my advice is to check them out!
Also got my copy of The Smashing Pumpkins Peel Session 12" vinyl (for those who didn't know it features three song recorded for the legendary John Peel in the fall of 1992)
Last but not least I got this cool rare cassette tape release of the Bullet With Butterfly Wings by The Smashing Pumpkins (yeah, I know you know)
Tinted Windows
"Over the last couple years, Adam Schlesinger from Fountains Of Wayne and James Iha have been working on this project", writes Taylor. "[Hanson, the band] first met Adam years ago when we were making Middle Of Nowhere. So the deal is a band that I am mostly taking the vocals on, with James and Adam on bass and guitar, as well as the legendary drummer Bun E Carlos of Cheap Trick." He later adds that the project is a "fun thing that is musically different"; to sources close to the band, that translates as "old-school, naive, young, bubblegum power-pop" kind of music.
Tinted Windows is scheduled to perform its first show at Billboard's South By Southwest showcase on March 20th in Austin, Texas.
Here is a link to to a sample of what will be their first release:

Red Hot Chili Peppers - One Hot Minute (1995)
As I came to think of recently, this must be like the only listenable album by this band. It's no secret that I have never fully liked the music of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Maybe it's just the singer, Anthony Kiedis. I don't know. But this album is very different in many ways. Maybe it's the presence of ex-Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro that makes this album what it is: one of the 90's best album (and one of the most underrated one as well), showing off a more darker and intimate side of the band.
Released in 1995 by Warner Records this is the band at it's peak. Navarro brings a lot of Jane's Addiction-riffs into the songs which really makes this album special and unique in every way. From simple songs like Flea's Pea (containing only an acoustic bass and Flea singing about being a litte pea) to the massive funkadelic groove of songs like One Big Mob and Coffee Shop to stripped down songs like My Friends and the great and beautiful Tearjerker (supposedly written as a tribute to Kurdt Kobain) .
As every story has an end, so did this 95-96 constellation of the Chili Peppers. Dave Navarro quit the band in 1997 following up the reunion of Jane's Addiction (who originally broke up back in 1991) , but before the departure he left behind this MASSIVE album. Clearly a classic! So in case you haven't heard One Hot Minute, it's indeed time to do so.
Released on Warner Records in 1995.

Siamese Singles & Ritual De Lo Habitual
Finally got my Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream box set (SPBOX1) limited to 6000 copies worldwide! Also got the Jane's Addiction Ritual De Lo Habitual vinyl (25993-1) from Florida.
Ritual De Lo Habitual is of course one of those album that no matter how many times you listen to it, you will always find something new and interesting and never grow tired of it. Released on Warner Records a couple of months before the band called it's quits, this is the absolute crescendo of the eighties!
The Siamese Singles on the other hand contains a small collection of great never before released songs collected on the 7" singles of the Siamese Dream album released in October ,1994. Smashing Pumpkins strenght have always been their b-sides in my personal opinion, and here they really show why. Songs as Apathy's Last Kiss, Purr Snickety (misspelled as "Purr Snikety" on the box) and their cover version of Depeche Mode's Never Let Me Down Again (originally released on the 1994 Depeche Mode tribute album "Music For The Masses") are simply breathtaking.
