Therapy? - One Cure Fits All
The rockband Therapy? is an interesting phenomenon indeed. Formed in 1989 in Dublin, Ireland by guitarist Andy Cairns and drummer Fyfe Ewing their major success came with their Troublegum album in 1993. The album is still considered to be one of the most important rock albums of the 90's. Their following album, Infernal Love (released in 1995) was according to the critics a commercial failure despite the major hit Diane.
And so they released a couple of albums over the years, perhaps the most notable being Semi-Detached from 1998 (also their last album on the A&M label) including their minor hit Church Of Noise.
As the years went on Therapy? released a couple albums of very uneven quality and some changing with labels (A&M, Ark21 etc etc) . Although they never accomplished their success of the Troublegum album. In 2006 they released the One Cure Fits All album on Spitfire Records- and boy, was it well recieved in the press! More melodies, but still loud. Very loud. The album is very well produced, and the sound kind of resembles of the Troublegum album.
Therapy? - One Cure Fits All (2006)
As for my personal experience this album is clearly one of their greatest. It seems like the band knows what they are doing again.
2009..... and they just released their latest Crooked Timber album, and I should really check this 'lil thingy out. I have to admit than since 1999 I kind of counted them out of the game, but I'm really great that they're back again.
