Finally ordered the new Jane's Addiction deluxe limited edition box set called A Cabinet Of Curiosities, set to be released around April 21st on Rhino Records. Since being a Jane's fan since the age of 14 this is a real precious gem, limited to 7,500 copies. This box is made of wooden, too.
The box features 3 cd's with totally 43 songs (30 of them previously unreleased) and a dvd featuring Soul Kiss (which I haven't seen since being 16 years old), a rare VHS-only homemade movie that also features some live songs.
Also on the disc is all their music videos (1987-1991) and their legendary concert at the City Square in Milan (for MTV, October 1990) .
Jane's Addiction has reunited (once again!) with all the original members, to do a USA-tour in the summer of 2009 with Nine Inch Nails called the NIN-JA tour. Samples with Nine Inch Nails/ Jane's Addiction can be downloaded for free on http://www.ninja2009.com/ . The tour will kick off in West Palm Bech, FL, May 8th.

Rare cd's - Aussie and french!
Last week I got the rare BWBW (delabel) and the 1979 french cd-singles in cardboard sleeves with two songs on each (even on the 1979 that originally has four), and stickers on them. Mint.
Something of course even more rare are the australian release of the Today and Cherub Rock singles. These ones also in a cardboard sleeve with the original tracklisting. On the condition, I would say VG+ .
The australian releases of Cherub Rock (matrix: 8921082) and Today (8921422).
The french releases of 1979 (HUTCDE67) and the delabel Bullet With Butterfly Wings (PM537) in cardboard sleeves.
