So behold, here it is, the new supergroup! Consisting of James Iha (ex-Smashing Pumpkins), Bun E. Carlos (ex-Cheap Trick), Taylor Hanson (Hanson) and Adam Schlesinger (ex-Fountains Of Wayne and Ivy) this is, needless to say, a really, really interesting group. I think they have a lot of potential really, it's a kickass-kinda-song although I'm a bit sceptic to that "Uh ouh Uh ouh" refrain, but all in all it's pretty good. Especially James guitar playing and his guitar solo.

"Over the last couple years, Adam Schlesinger from Fountains Of Wayne and James Iha have been working on this project", writes Taylor. "[Hanson, the band] first met Adam years ago when we were making Middle Of Nowhere. So the deal is a band that I am mostly taking the vocals on, with James and Adam on bass and guitar, as well as the legendary drummer Bun E Carlos of Cheap Trick." He later adds that the project is a "fun thing that is musically different"; to sources close to the band, that translates as "old-school, naive, young, bubblegum power-pop" kind of music.

Tinted Windows is scheduled to perform its first show at Billboard's South By Southwest showcase on March 20th in Austin, Texas.
